DIGITAL RECORDS: Stimulus technology money aims to reduce health care costs

Almost $26 billion in stimulus money will go toward health information-technology efforts.The Obama administration often avoids defining the stimulus as being mainly about jobs. Vice President Joe Biden, in announcing stimulus grants to 15 health care operations around the country, stressed that the money would help improve care by digitizing records.
