Rep. Trey Radel, R-Fla., was sentenced to one-year probation Wednesday after pleading guilty to possession of cocaine in D.C. Superior Court.

Radel joins the ranks of Washington policymakers who have had their share of run-ins with the law. Here are some of the most notable politicians with criminal charges in recent years, with the date they left office or, if they didn’t resign, when their bad news surfaced.

Update: At a news conference Wednesday night, Radel announced he will be taking a leave of absence while also donating his salary.
