Joint Chiefs testify before Congress on military pay, benefits
WASHINGTON–Chairman of the Joint Chief’s of Staff, Gen. Martin Dempsey said in a Senate hearing that budgetary restrictions will force reductions to military compensation. With a trillion dollars worth of cuts to the Department of Defense budget expected over the next decade, some are concerned that reducing pay will send the wrong message to our troops.
