WASHINGTON – California Rep. Scott Peters is vocal about his support for a “clear path forward for Dreamers.” Tuesday, he brought Karen Bahena from San Diego to the State of the Union to demonstrate that support.
Bahena, a Dreamer who says the Act gave her an identity, hoped to hear a unifying message at the address.
However, walking into the house chamber and sitting among the red hats of President Trump supporters, she said the reality of the speech was very different.
