WASHINGTON – Students from several high schools in Washington, DC, Virginia, and Maryland walked out of school to demand stricter gun laws at the United States Capitol and the White House on Wednesday.
The protest came after 17 people were killed last week when a gunman opened fire at a high school in Florida.
