WASHINGTON- First lady Michelle Obama and members of the Childhood Obesity Task Force recently unveiled their plan to eliminate childhood obesity within a generation.

The plan includes 70 recommendations, from limiting children’s screen time to eliminating food deserts within the next seven years.

Obama emphasized that the federal government alone cannot curb childhood obesity.

“It’s going to take everyone,” Obama said. “No one gets off the hook on this one – from governments to schools to nonprofits, to families sitting around their dinner tables.”

Now everyone just needs to follow the goals the task force has set, she said.
