WASHINGTON – A new website can help people locate clinical trials being conducted in minority communities. Some researchers show concern over the lack of minorities participating in clinical trials, considering the population is becoming more diverse.

The CT Atlas allows users to access clinical trial locations through zip code searches. The website also helps people identify what diseases are prevalent in their areas. All the data is collected and used by the federal government. The CT Atlas map breaks down areas by zip code, state, and federal legislative districts.

The website is the brain-child of Dr. Gary Puckrein from the National Minority Quality Forum. The forum says the CT Atlas can create a national network and bring more diverse populations in for clinical trial testing.
