North Dakota and Minnesota are struggling to clean up in the wake of the Red River flooding this year. President Obama declared several counties disaster areas on April 7, and federal aid has gone out to help with the cleanup. However, some say it’s not enough. Senators from North Dakota are pushing for the declaration to be pushed back in date to help fund the costs of preparing for the flood.
