Defense Secretary Leon Panetta addressed the Senate Armed Forces Committee for the first time in a hearing Thursday. During his testimony on military strategy in Afghanistan and Iraq, Panetta said the budget cuts required by the debt ceiling agreement reached this summer will increase the risk to the U.S. military abroad.
