The White House shed its usual neutral shade for something a bit brighter on Monday. At sunset, the presidential residence was lit in hot pink to remind visitors of Breast Cancer Awareness Month. President Barack Obama and first lady Michelle Obama are participating in a number of activities in October to recognize the month and further research into the disease. The color remains throughout the month.
