In the wake of the “Occupy Wall Street” phenomenon, about 500 people flooded Freedom Plaza in Washington, D.C for a blend of the “October 2011” and “Occupy DC” demonstrations. Throughout the protests, activists from coast to coast descended on the capital, and demands de ranged from tax reform to and end of war in the Middle East.
