The Community Education Group is a charitable organization based in Anacostia. The rate of new HIV infections in Washington is four time that of the national rate and in Anacostia more than 90 percent of new HIV infections are African-Americans, according to CEG’s website. Because HIV is spreading so rapidly in the area, groups like CEG are taking their fights to the streets.
