Experts say this is the year of attack ads, with more negative campaign advertisements being run than ever before. Even though studies suggest that Americans generally dislike all the negativity, the same research says it affects their political beliefs anyway. The mudslinging ads sponsored by ambiguously-named Super PACs, however, may be more effective at this than those sponsored by the candidates themselves.
