The media has been running rampant with political analyses and media coverage of current U.S.-North Korea tensions, but what do everyday Americans have to say about it? For this project, I asked random people on the streets of DC to write the letters they’d send to the people and/or government of North Korea, if given the chance. I then took their portraits, messages in hand. The result is a collection of 10 images putting the dialogue of conflict back, quite literally, in the hands of the people.
