The U.S. Agency for International Development announced the launch of their five-year program to promote Afghan women’s upward mobility. The more than $400 million investment will help to strengthen women’s roles in the economy and political arena through education and business and management training. Although Afghan women have made huge strides over the past decade, these women still face immense inequalities in all aspects of society.
