WASHINGTON — Barriers to achieving the American Dream are growing for many Americans, according to experts at a New America Foundation conference Thursday.
For one Maryland woman the idea of the American Dream is something she learned about growing up in Palestine and Jordan. On Monday she shopped for her first home in Washington, D.C., and said she believes making such an investment will be an important step toward achieving her own vision of the American Dream.
