That trend has taken hold in schools across the nation, coinciding with a changing model of education — moving away from rote memorization toward high level skills training and interaction with abstract concepts. A two-day regional robotics competition held this past weekend showed how some students are playing games with the robots they’ve made, and learning math and science in a whole new way.
