As a part of the Young Southeast Asian Leaders Initiative (YSEALI), President Obama welcomed 75 emerging leaders to the White House Monday. The young leaders represent all 10 Association of Southeast Asian Nations (ASEAN) countries and the meeting with the president comes at the conclusion of their U.S. government sponsored fellowships. President Obama engaged the leaders in dialogue about how they will take the professional and educational experience gained in the United States back to their region. Topics covered included sustainability, democracy, fair trade and climate change.
