WASHINGTON — More than 100 American workers stood with the Congressional Progressive Caucus and supporting organizations as they rallied in front of the steps of the U.S. Supreme Court, demanding that Senate Republicans “do their jobs” and vote one way or another for Chief Judge Merrick Garland.

On March 16, President Obama nominated Judge Garland for the Supreme Court. Since, some Senate Republicans have declined hearings and refused to vote for Judge Garland.

Protesters expressed if they were to not “do their jobs”, they would be fired – therefore the Senate Republicans need to follow the Constitution and vote.

Wednesday’s rally was organized by People For the American Way (PFAW), MoveOn.org Civic Action, The Leadership Conference on Civil and Human Rights, the Progressive Change Campaign Committee, CREDO Action, the American Federation of Government Employees, and the Communications Workers of America.
