WASHINGTON–Fourth graders who want to become astronauts got closer to their dream by meeting NASA astronaut Kjell Lindgren. Lindgren spent 141 days on the International Space Station conducting science and research to extend our presence in the solar system.
“One of the things that I came away with this mission was really a sense of how unique and beautiful our planet is but also how fragile it is,” said Lindgren. “So I think all of us when we get back really start to think of the Earth as its own spaceship.”
Lindgren also said the students are the future and they will be the ones to change the world.
“Really the secret to whatever it is that you want to do, right now the secret is hard work,” said Lindgren.
