WASHINGTON – After a failed sit-in in support of gun safety legislation, House Democrats are not going down without a fight. On Wednesday, the House Democratic Caucus took to the steps of the Capitol alongside family members of those killed by acts of gun violence to share their stories and plead for a gun safety bill before Congress goes into its nearly two-month long summer recess.

Emotions ran high as victims took to the microphone one-by-one to tell their detailed stories about beloved family members who passed away after being shot and killed. The House members comforted the victims through their tears and kept them talking to make sure their stories were told.
