WASHINGTON – Protesters marched 18 miles last week from Fairfax, Virginia to Washington, D.C. as part of the Women’s March from NRA headquarters to the Department of Justice (DOJ).

The movement’s goal was to pressure the NRA to take down and apologize for a commercial that many found offensive. Marchers also hoped to urge the NRA to request that the DOJ indict the officer who shot and killed Philando Castile last year.

The Friday march was followed Saturday morning by a rally and vigil outside the DOJ in Castile’s honor.
