Accidents in the Pacific caused the death of 20 sailors in 2017. Secretary of the Navy and the Chief of Naval Operations briefed house members on two readiness reviews during a House Armed Services subcommittee hearing last week. Representatives questioned the witnesses over Navy readiness and the failures that caused the collisions of the 7th fleet.
