WASHINGTON–The presidential election remains too close to call Thursday as several key states including Georgia, Pennsylvania, Arizona, North Carolina and Nevada are still counting mail in ballots.
Democrat Joe Biden, currently leading in electoral votes, addressed voters Thursday evening. He urged them to stay calm while votes are being counted and emphasized confidence in an ultimate victory. “We have no doubt that when the count is finished Senator Harris and I will be declared the winners,” Biden said.
Meanwhile, President Trump also came before cameras, making unsubstantiated accusations of widespread voter fraud and promising a flurry of legal action.
“There is tremendous litigation going on,” Trump said. “This is the case where they’re trying to steal an election…they’re trying to rig an election…and we can’t let that happen.”
