WASHINGTON – Tuesday the Center for American Progress released a report called “Missing the Point,” which discusses the harmful impacts of native mascots and team names on American Indian youth. In May, 50 U.S. senators signed a letter to NFL commissioner Roger Goodell urging him to change the name of the Washington football team.
