WASHINGTON – Nearly 5,000 doctors and researchers gathered in Washington, DC to study and discuss new developments in the fight against Alzheimer’s.
Some of the attendees pushed for more dollars to go towards research for the disease that can attack a person’s memory.
A northwest Indiana professor Mary Austrom attended the conference and hopes to bring back some helpful information to Alzheimer’s patients in her state.
Austrom encourages diversity in clinical trials in order to better combat the disease.
