WASHINGTON — The American Cancer Society released new breast-screening guidelines recommending that women wait until age 45 instead of 40 to get their breasts examined.
But George Washington University Mammovan Director Rachel Brem, M.D., said the operation will continue to provide free mammogram services to women in Washington, Virginia, and Maryland, regardless of recent controversies about how often women need the screening.
