WASHINGTON — Hundreds of youth traveled to the nation’s capital one year out from the 2016 presidential election to speak up for causes of racial equality, climate justice and immigration reform.
Organizers dubbed the rally “Our Generation, Our Choice” to signify the importance of the youth vote for political candidates at all levels.
Four youth-led organizations attended the event: 350.org, Million Hoodies Movement for Justice, Fossil Fuel Divestment Student Network, and United We Dream.
