Congress has approved legislation giving the right to VA doctors to suggest medical marijuana to their veteran patients. As the bill awaits President Barack Obama’s signature, some veterans want Obama to step in for even more changes.

The veterans and activists at the protest say pot can help them to relieve symptoms of post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD), but there has been no scientific proof yet.

The first controlled clinical research to study PTSD and the use of medical marijuana started this May. It will take the researchers two years to complete the study.
