WASHINGTON – Donald Trump is back in Washington, D.C. for meetings with the House Republican Caucus as well as Republican members of the Senate.
The meeting was the first chance for many of the Representatives to ask Trump questions about his policies and plans for the presidency.
Democrats including Rep. Tim Ryan of Ohio’s 17th District were out in full force, speaking outside the RNC about why Trump would be the wrong choice and how he could be detrimental for their district due to his plans for manufacturing and industry.
After the meeting, many members spoke about what transpired inside the RNC headquarters during the meeting and enthusiastically stated their support for the candidate.
Later, Speaker of the House Paul Ryan gave his weekly press conference and said the caucus had a very productive meeting with Trump.
