Washington — Update 5:48pm Metro police have the first suspect in custody in connection with a earlier incident on the Metro. 21-year-old Marcus James Lee was arrested earlier today. The red line robbery occurred after 5 p.m. as the train approached the Wheaton station. The suspects approached the victim and told him to hand over his phone. Once the victim retained control of the phone, the suspects began to punch and beat the vidicim. He told police as he tried to defend himself he felt the suspects’ hands going through his pockets. Once the doors opened at the station the suspects left the train and fled the station. The victim was transported to the hospital.
Metro police have identified all four individuals involved in Sunday’s robbery.
