WASHINGTON  — On the court-ordered deadline to reunite families seperated at the border, children and families gathered to march and protest at the Hart Senate Office Building. The children sung lullabies and drew pictures of their families to demand that the Trump administration immediately reunite children with their families and end family detention.

Democratic Senators Catherine Mastor and Kamala Harris joined in on the protest to encourage the children and families to continue fighting for families who are still waiting to be reunited.

“Their children are our children,” said California Senator Kamala Harris.

While there have been some children who have been successfully reunited with their parents, protestors say they will continue to fight until all migrant parents are together with their children.
