WASHINGTON — The Supreme Court heard oral arguments on Wednesday in a case that could overturn Roe v. Wade. The justices heard from lawyers arguing in favor of a Mississippi law that bans almost all abortions after 15 weeks. If upheld, the law would overturn 50 years of precedent.

Hundreds of impassioned activists who supported and opposed the right to an abortion rallied outside of the Supreme Court. The decision, which is expected at the end of the court’s term next summer, will likely move to the top of many voters concerns’ heading into the 2020 midterm election.
